Lampshade Re-Do

My kitchen’s lamp (which I adore) shade was in such a desperate need of a re-do (and I didn’t want to buy another one)..  I  became inspired by another blogger’s shade she did using a thrift store sweater.  Hmmm… I have a sweater I don’t wear and the color will match my kitchen.. soooo why not give it  a try..  And I like the  finished product…

It was worth the hour’s time and glue sticks, so this project costed me Zero dollars

Thrift store finds

It’s such a satifying feeling when you go into a thrift store and find what you need at the price you like.. These babies came home with me for $3.00 a piece.  Sure I could have gone to a store and bought new.. but that’s too easy.. its something about the hunt that makes it even more gratifying.   So as I always say… Happy Hunting.

Finally organized!

Organizing makes life a little easier.. its simple but it made a big difference.. and I’m so glad I did it!

Time for Tea

Well.. let’s see.. today was very productive..and thank God for a dishwasher..  So.. today I decided to clean the china in the cabinet.. and re-visited my beautiful teacup collection.  I forgot how lovely they were.  I remembered when I started the collection.. and before I knew it – it grew so big.  I had to force myself to stop.
