Hope all is going well with you and you’re enjoying your summer. I’ve been enjoying the fabulous weather we’ve been having. Last week I started contemplating a few minor changes around our humble abode. Now that the dining room is finished (you can view the before and after here) I’m looking at the our bedroom, living room and foyer. I decided to start with the foyer (why?? because it’s a smaller area.. chuckles.. don’t want to spend too much time inside. I started to think about stenciling – like what Nicole did over at Design it Vintage. But then I thought about fabric.. hmmmm…so I did some research on the topic and here’s some inspiration photos I found..
I love how all these rooms came
and I found this over at The Thriftress with a great tutorial
So next up … I need to hit the fabric store to see what I find that would tickle my fancy to complete this wall project. I’ll keep you posted.. Have any of you ever considered this project? If so, did you and how did it turn it out.. I’d love some feedback.. So holla at your girl
I love the idea, and so easy to apply and remove later! Thanks for adding me to the mix 🙂
hey Nicole.. you’re welcome.. You inspired me to wanting to glam up my foyer – so naturally kudos go to you. 🙂
OMG I am loving that black and white wallpaper. If I had that on my wall, I’d be happy everyday lol. Girl you are definitely inspiring me. I need to do my whole apartment over and I can’t wait to start.

We have done the fabric on the wall many years ago in our bedroom. The cheapest fabric is always a full or king size flat sheet. Cut off the top part and the hems and you have a big piece of fabric. At the time we stapled ours up we felt that was easier than using the liquid spray starch. Take off the baseboards put it behind them and add ceiling crowning for a added look.
Sometimes the twin sheets you can find cheaper even at say $7.00 it is a lot of fabric for the money. I know Walmart sells some flat sheets not sure how many they have in prints, but I am sure they have some.
Oh wow Sonya.. hmmm… a sheet.. .. now that may be a good idea too..but I’d need one with some colors.. I want it for a small wall area to add a pop of color.. thanks for sharing your idea on it..
They make sheets with patterns and stripes. Soon the stores will be full of bright colored sheets because of college starting up again. They always have patterns in those.
This is beautiful! Such a great idea. Paint seems to be going out of style these days haha. Feel free to check out our blog, http://www.twinspiration.co 🙂
