Since Labor Day marks the end of Summer, I thought I’d share a recap of all the in-betweens that took place during the quickest Summer I think I’ve ever experienced.  But, I have to admit, it also will go down as one of my most memorable Summers.  If you recall I DIYed some beautiful napkin rings just in time for a big announcement.

I kicked off Summer announcing the photo shoot for Flea Market Decor Magazine (one of my many dreams come true experience).

Then following another episode with my mother’s health, she made a complete recovery and we managed to throw her a surprise birthday party.  We are blessed to have another year of celebrating with her (and prayerfully many more).

Craving something different for outdoor decor, I launched my line of Garden Flags.  I haven’t completed the website to order (yet) but If you’d like to order one, by all means let me know.  The black and white are $23.00

We had a wonderful visit from my son’s girlfriend, Rita  What makes it a special visit is this was her first time around our family.  She’s been in the U.K. for quite sometime and I only had the pleasure of meeting her once while Amir served in the military and stationed in Texas.  This charming and beautiful young lady has made quite an impression on our family, and of course, we welcomed her with open arms.

Since working my extended hours, I didn’t get much time to devote to our back deck.  I’m just glad I did manage the makeover last year, because at least all I had to do was add a few plants, which I caught on clearance at Lowe’s.

We had a ball attending the House Music dance parties that were being held in Columbia (as you see mom loves to dance).

Then came the big announcement of our little family…. it appears it just got bigger!!  Baby made 3

Yep – this crazy bunch has a baby girl on the way and we’re all ecstatic!!!  It’s the first grand for both sides of the family – So you know what that means –  SPOILED ROTTEN!!!

and if that wasn’t enough of my happy news – guess what.. .. TAH-DAHHHH!! This is the cover of Flea Market Decor Magazine where I’m featured in.  It’s a terrific Tuesday because it hits the newsstands today (9/11)!!!
