I like when I start the year off with a nice but quick find.  After being on a brief hiatus(which was only 3 weeks) I decided to hit the scene to see what wonderful goodies people ditched after the holiday haul.  I’m searching for another chandelier for the dining room.  I’ve been wanting to change it for a while but hadn’t had any luck (especially like the one I found for the living room). I spotted 2 online, but the thrift side in me keeps me from actually hitting that order button (but more on that later).  Let me show you what I found while out and about.  If you recall this corner in my living room I added this $2.00 vase with the pampas grass.  I liked it here and it was good for the grass, but I found something even better.

An amber demijohn and was was thrilled to have found this.  I’ve been eyeing them all across the internet and had a small desire to find one, but they can be a bit pricey.

I found it at a humane society thrift store (and when you shop there, for every $10.00 you spend they clip your card and when you complete the 10 spaces, you get $10.00 off your next purchase).  Well this demijohn was $11.00 and I used my coupon so I wound up paying $1.00.  Freaking high-5 on this.

Although the other vase was cool, but this one is far better because the big pop of color is perfect with the curtain panels.  (side note:  I’m thinking I need to hit that mirror with some gold paint)

Nice little addition for only a buck right!!  Now moving on to my $2.00 find.  I scored this teak tri-fold plant stand.  I was thrilled because now I have a pair.

I also found the matching table stand in this post along with another stand but smaller.  It’s amazing how I scored these at different times and locations.. (like it’s meant to be- right?)

They sit quite nicely on top of the living room buffet.   I like having these carved wooden pieces in this room.
