Hey Guys!!  I know you’re probably wondering – “what’s up with J”  I know it’s been a spell since I’ve popped in your email, but I took a quick blog hiatus.  I’ve actually been getting a bit more rest and trying to deal with my bouts of insomnia (it’s a bitch to deal with) and realized when I come home from work instead of jumping on the computer, but instead to actually relax on the sofa, I fell sleepy more quickly and feel more at rest.  So, that’s what I’ve been up to lately.  Now the weekends have been a different story.  I’ve been out thrifting (for my mental therapy) and still out here finding bargains.  So, without any more yapping, let’s see what I found on my thriftscapade.   At the Salvation Army, I saw this dinette set for $80.00  It’s got quite the potential for someone who loves color.

Spotted these decorative ceramic vases.  The prices were a bit more than I’d expect at Salvation Army, but hey.. for $12.99 not too bad and won’t break the bank.

I loved this green vase.. (thinking it’s perfect for Spring flowers) – it was only $4.99 (I regret not getting it after posting this picture lol)

Popped into another store (Restore Habitat) and spotted these fabric panels.  I loved the fabric and thought real hard about getting them and reusing the fabric, but honestly speaking, I’ve got fabric up the wazoo! So I left them for someone else to enjoy… and for $8.00 not bad at all.

This cabinet was nice and with some sprucing up, it would make a cool bar area.

I’m starting to see these coffee tables everywhere I go..lol..

I fell in love with this dining room set.  A bit pricey but definitely well worth it.

This plaid chair looked newly upholstered and for $75.00 – excellent price

I thought these hand-painted glasses would look quite lovely for a Spring tablescape and they were $.50 ea

and this brass table had my name all over it!!!  DANG I wish I had the space for it.  I even like it paired with the chairs.

and lastly – I finally found a Campaign dresser for myself.  Yaaayyyy!!!  I was freaking thrilled and for $80.00 I was NOT going to let this pass.  This will replace the black dresser in the 2nd guest room. 

and on my to the register to pay for the dresser, my eyes caught this cute elephant, and yes, I got it.. heeeheeee.. what the heck.. mind’s well (right??!!)

Well guys, as you see I’ve been out there having a fun time thrifting and caught a few bargains.  I took time to clean the dresser and polish the brass (boy was that a tough job… ) The effort reminded me when I polished this antique brass coat rack, glutton for punishment.   I hope all has been well with you and you’ve been finding goodies as well.  I’ll come back and show you the cleaning results and how it looks in the room.  As always – happy hunting while you thrift your house into a home!
