September, September, September.. boy did you come fast, but it’s all good because not only is the my birth month, but it starts the $100 Room Challenge and I’ve decided to through my towel in and shoot to refresh our guest bathroom. The $100 Room Challenge is a challenge dreamed up by Erin at Lavender, Lemons, and Laundry to make over an entire room in your home on a $100 budget in one month.
The basic rules of this challenge are you have one month and $100 to update a space in your home. Because there are 5 Wednesdays in September, we get an extra week, which is a bonus (God knows I’ll need it)! I’m excited about doing this space because I’m actually trying my luck at a peel-n-stick wallpaper I’ve been wanting to use. The room hasn’t had anything done in about 10 years. I put a tear and stick wallpaper on the walls and it’s been up ever since. So, between paint, paper and fabric, I’ve got a $100 budget and I plan to not go over at all. This challenge is perfect timing because I just finished a refresh in the guest room and having a new look to flow into the bathroom will be great. The plan so far is to install a white and gold cheetah wallpaper.
Paint the vanity base a hunter green
Hang a new shower curtain
some art and a few other knick-knacks.. and call it quits. I have a vanity light that I purchased a while ago at a thrift store and finally it will get installed. So, here’s to a bath refresh and I hope I accomplish a fresh new look. I hope you follow along. Also, feel free to hop over to see what the others have in store for their makeovers.
