Hey everyone! As we approach the end of another year I want say a most heartfelt “Thank You” to each and everyone of you who has allowed me to pop into your mailbox, follow along with me on my thrifting journey and cheering me on as I create my house into a home. When I really think about it, it’s like you’ve allowed me to be a part of your life and for that, it’s truly a blessing. I know it’s been a while since I’ve actually written a full post as I used to do, and I think I should explain why. I’ve had a YouTube channel for a while but never really took it serious as to creating content videos on a regular basis. About 16 months ago, I felt it was time to try my luck at creating videos and be consistent (with the push of my family members) I decided to take the plunge and try it. It took a lot for me to build up the courage to speak into a mic let alone get in front of the camera. Well, needless to say I knocked down the walls of insecurity and began my journey in creating videos. Although my blog is first hobby love, which I plan to keep, I see the expenses of maintaining a website is quite expensive. As with everything in life, the fees keep creeping up and that’s when I decided instead of using my household money to pay for the blog, I should push forth and try to monetize my YouTube channel. Meeting the subscribers number requirement was easy, but meeting the watch hours (4000), which is where I’m struggling, is quite difficult. Hopefully, I’ll accomplish that goal soon, but we’ll see. I’m only saying all this because I felt I owe you the transparency of it all. I started my blog share my thrifting enthusiasm with everyone and inspire you to thrift your house into a home and that will always be my main focus. Not only have you shared in my home decor journey, but you’ve been there with me through some life happening moments and honestly, I wish the computer can give out hugs, because I’d be squeezing you tight. This journey has been so rewarding and fulfilling and has surpassed my wildest imaginations. I’ve met so many wonderful people through my blog (and now YouTube) and I have been emotionally overwhelmed with the love and support you’ve given me.
As we bid adieu to 2024, beginning in 2025, I plan to balance my time and write more here on the blog, sharing my stories, thriftscapades and everything in between (as I do enjoy writing) and still create videos. It’ll be a real balancing act for sure, lol, but hopefully I’ll get it done. I won’t be long winded now, but please know that I wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR. May God continue to bless you and your family with love, prosperity and protect you from any harm. I look forward to seeing what 2025 brings and hoping you’ll be sharing it with me in your life.
Sincerely and lovingly yours,
