$100 Room Challenge – Bath Reveal

It’s been a sweet and busy month, but I must say I’m thrilled to have another room makeover challenge completed.   Our guest bathroom has been needing a refresh for a while now and thanks to the challenge, which I apparently needed, to help give me the push to get it done.   If you’re new here,  The $100 Room Challenge is a challenge dreamed up by Erin at Lavender, Lemons, and Laundry to make over an entire room in your home on a $100 budget in one month.  Didn’t think I could pull it off, but to my surprise – yes- I did!  If you want to play catch up, you can view my previous posts herehere and here.  In all honesty, I will admit I went a tadbit over the budget by $20.00 but it was well worth it.

This is where I started before.

An here is my newly refreshed Tropical-Glam guest bathroom

Of course being a twin, this print I purchased(back when I bought the office print) from Thee Bouffants would be perfect to hang in here.  If you recognize the frame from this post, I purchased it a while back for $2.00 and the brass accent piece was already hanging in the bathroom over the mirror.

The faux flowers were snatched from the dining room to add the pop of color for this corner.

The shining bright chandelier adds the elegant touch to the room and the solid green window topper was a fantastic blend .

I’m proud of my shelving I made and hung, however, I had no money in the budget to buy new styling items, so, I shopped my home.  The orange glass dome was snatched from my yard.. ( I couldn’t believe I had that pretty glass bowl outside in my flower bed as garden art ) and the dried hydrangeas are from my yard, as well.

Spare guest towels are stacked on the shelf and bath towels have been moved to the dressers in each room.  The bird cage (aka towel holder) will be for sale at the yard sale.

The peacock is a Christmas ornament turned shelf styling ornament which helped camouflage the stacked bath tissue.  A vintage wine decanter is now a bubble bath dispenser. The painted blinds looks metal after the gold spray paint.

The other side holds the tropical shower curtain and the new light is hung.

My splurge was on the new faucet but it was surely needed to complete the look

Adorning the sink is my hand wash station tray.  It’s a vintage glass tray with matching covered compote dish that holds sugar scrub, along with liquid hand wash.

The plant came from the living room and the gold bamboo hand towel tray was another thrift find for $3.50 (already had)

The black and gold handles on the vanity doors and matching knobs on the mirror were perfect accent pieces.  The faux fur runner was previously purchased from Winx Home and Garden and the navy blue accents the blue in the shower curtain.

Its nice having something fluffy and furry to have under your feet, getting out of the shower.

I had a piece of board left over so I made a bath shelf which could also sit across the tank when not in use while bathing (seen in previous pictures)

Here’s another view of the tropical shower curtain and light fixture.

Well that’s all I have.. I’ll definitely take better pictures.  It’s officially my birthday today so this is like a gift to myself.  I hope you like the new look and enjoyed following the challenge.  It’s not much but it did make an impact on the space and it feels like a sort-of new bathroom.  Again I’d like to say thank you for all the wonderful comments and cheers you gave – it really helped motivate me.  Never think you have to have stacks of cash to complete a room makeover.  Sometimes a little push is all you need.
