Let’s Go Thrifting by Jamala Kim Wallace
It’s hard to believe September has gone and Fall is approaching fast. I’m happy to bring the third edition of “Let’s Go Thrifting” – The Lifestyle of the Thrift and Famous magazine. It was very exciting putting this issue together as I focus on two of my favorite decor items: Bar Carts and Black Art. I chose the bar carts because holiday entertaining season is approaching, and what better way to entertain than with a stylish beverage cart. Marsha of MJonesStyle joins me with tips on how to style your cart. For the love of vintage, read about the re-introduction of the “new art” to grace our walls. With home decor stores like Burlington Coat Factory and Ross’s Dress for Less flooding the markets with “made in China” black art, it demises the authenticity of original black art. Amina B. Lee, ISA of Pieces of Time Estate Sales Services in New Jersey, dishes out information about African-American art and shares a few of her favorites. I hope you enjoy this edition and share with your friends. As always, Happy Hunting While You Thrift Your House into a Home!

Jamala, excellent edition. Thank you for featuring me. The education on African American Art was so informative and the beautiful art displayed here is priceless. I love your magazine and can’t wait to see what you have in store for us in the next edition.
