$2.00 Tuesday

Hey everyone!! I hope all is well …  Let me pose just one quick question…..   Are candelabras out of style?  That was my thought when I spied this vintage marble base brass (made in Italy) candelabra. for $1.99!!!!  What the What!!??

I touched up the base with dabs of gold leaf paint.. (not much because I like the aged look) and found a place for display.

I think it adds a bit more vintage charm in the foyer and for $2.00 – why not??

Have you found anything for $2.00 lately?  If so, I’d love to hear and share on the next post.  Remember – Happy hunting while you thrift your house into a home!!

CIAO!!!

    • Thanks Linda! Ever since I saw yours outside ..i’ve been wanting one… it looked so elegant.. thank you for inspiring me

  1. So fabulous ! I have 2 tall ornate candle sticks, which I Luv. I buy the luminaire candles. They look like real fire, developed by Disney. I buy on QVC. Check them out and they have timers too. I can’t believe you pd. $1.99 for this.

    • Oh really! I didn’t know they made those … thank you for telling me! I thought I was happy with dripless candles, now ..i’m even more happy!

    • Great! I was hoping that was the case lol.. and heck yes your french basket counts! Share a pic with me.. thanks a bunch for stopping by Nancy

  2. OK, I’m back. Whew! Had to figure out how to get your page enlarged again. I don’t know how on earth I did that!!! I’ll know from now on, though. I just have to go up to the top of the page and enlarge. Anyhoooooooo…out of style???? Are you kidding me?!???!??! NEVER!!! I think it all depends on the style of your home whether or not candelabra belong. You enjoy a full, lush look which FIRMLY embraces a few candelabra here and there! Our home has become so casual (thanks to my husband and his whining!) that I don’t pull out the candelabra until Thanksgiving and Christmas. If he wants to say anything to me about them then, I’ll just pop him up side the head with one! 🙂 Great find! And me…I’ve found nothing from $2 or under lately. Went to an estate sale on 3 different days last week, but nothing for that inexpensive. Oh, well! I’ll keep trying!

  3. I’m not sure what I did wrong…this page on my screen is really, really long and thin!!! I can’t really see a thing! I’ll have to come back when I have my iPad or phone available. Meanwhile, every time I see your title “$2 Tuesday”, it makes me think of this great taco joint in the city. Mmmmmm….tacos!!! Thanks for blowing my diet clear outta the water! I hope there are no typos in this. Again…can’t see a thing! I’m such a doofus!!!

  4. Very nice find and very much in style. With a formal dinning room such as yours it’s befiting of it and a nice addition. I love the marble base, great find for a great price. I’ve been lazy and haven’t been really thrifting. I finished my last living room wall project and haven’t started on anything else yet. But, I love your finds and seeing how you style and use them.

    • Thanks Ida! It’s great to finish a project and I know once you’re finished, it’s like you’re pooped out from all the shopping. Lucky for us thrifters we bounce back because the bug will hit us again.. thanks for stopping over
