Saturday Thriftscapades

You know…. (pause)… I can’t believe it’s the end of August already.  Where oh where has my Summer time gone – where oh where can it be???   It’s like I remember it being just yesterday was the big I2I Yard Sale and now I see bloggers gearing up for Fall..  (I just can’t believe it)  Well, one thing for sure is it’s Saturday I’m off on another Thriftscapde.  But first, let me catch you up on all the goodies I found. I’m starting with this hand-painted foyer dresser.  Very nice piece for $60.00

Then here’s another brass end table (a weakness of mine) and it was $40.00.  This was hard to walk away from, but, somehow I mustered up the energy to slowly step back.. (who am I kidding.. I had no room in the truck…lol ..so I HAD to!!)

The beds were all half off and the brass bed (headboard, footboard and side rails) was $20.00.  This too has haunted me…

Another brass fixation was this chandelier.  It was $30.00- I’ve been wanting another chandelier for my living room and thought hard about this..(insert head scratching moment… hmmmm….)

I missed out on this rattan table.. it was $8.00.

A slew of white leather (like) office chairs.. only $12.99… not bad right???

These end tables were $20.00 each – not my style, but the price for them is pretty good

This unique antique brass chandelier was a stunner for $130.00

So that’s it for this week’s episode of Saturday thriftscapade.  Did you like any of the items I chose for my top picks?  If so, which were your favorites.  As, I always say.. Happy hunting while you thrift your house into a home!

  1. Hi Jamala – Just saw your your elegant rooms in the new issue of Flea Market Decor. My search for brass and glass end tables has begun!

    • Hello Ruth! Awwwww thank you so much for popping over here..I love and welcome new readers.. ..i’m happy to hear I’ve influenced you to go hunting.. I hope you find some goodies.. please share..I enjoy hearing about fab finds.. also.. thank you so much for your compliment..

  2. You must have an absolute ball out there foraging for treasures…even if you plan to leave a few behind! It’s jyst the thrill of the hunt. “Catch and Release” kind of deal, huh? I would’ve gone for one of those headboards had they been a king size. We need one in our master bedroom. I need to get serious about picking one out and actually getting it delivered! Those kinds of purchases are so hard for me, knowing I’ll have to live with my choice for 10+ years!!!!!!!!!!

    • Alyica, I totally enjoy myself out there.. Sometimes I wish I be out there all weekend, but I’d be in the poor house…lol! Good luck with your search on the bed, it’s not easy out there and like you said.. it has to last 10 years (if not forever).. unless you thrift it. then you can change it as often as you like 🙂

    • LOL!! Ida – you made me smile.. I love that you’ve enjoyed all my finds.. I think we may need to thrift together one day

    • Thank you Jada! I’m glad you’re enjoying seeing what I find. Unfortunately, no I don’t, I’m in SC but I do come to ATL a few times a year.
