Hello lovely ones!!! First, I have to send some serious warm hugs and kisses to every single one of you who stopped by and left me such a heartfelt comment on the One Room Challenge -Office Refresh. I would have never imagined in my wildest dreams it would have gotten that much attention. I’m truly overwhelmed and you all are so wonderful. So again.. thank you sooooo much!! I took a bit of time off because I didn’t want to hit your box while you’re visiting the other blogs from the challenge (and I just finished the tours and enjoyed every last one of them). I became so inspired, that I (think) I might be ready for the Spring event, but we’ll see. As for now, the only energy I could muster up was create the cute black & white African cloth pillow cover (from a piece of scrap fabric) with pompom trim for a bit of pillow play. What have you been up to lately? Me.. I just managed to get all the plants in the house. It’s starting to look like a jungle in here, lol. I had to rearrange some things to give them the light they need and pray they’ll last till Spring to go back outside. My plants often seem to suffer the Winter blues and I’m always trying to figure out what’s wrong with them. I’ve lost a few in my time, but as the plant mom life goes, it gets quickly replaced.
On the other hand, styling plants in your home is the fun part – especially if you have natural light flowing all through the house. If so, the babies will show you just how much they love it.
So, to treat your babies right and make them happy, I’m sharing some of the newest plant books on the market to help ease the stress of how to care and style your green friends.

Not only will you be doing the happy plant dance, so will your plants when you see them making sprouts everywhere. I, by no means, am a plant expert, but I can tell you this.
- plenty of light
- water weekly (except succulents)
- put spikes inside the dirt for nutrients
- check for any bugs and separate if you see any festation
- mist your plants
- dust your plants
But for the real deal, check out one of these (or all) for all the info and inspo you’ll need – not to mention they make great coffee table books.
Book by Hilton Carter – Wild At Home
Book by Igor Josifovic and Judith De Graaff – Urban Jungle
Book by Carmeon Hamilton – Nubi’s Plant Parenting Guide
Hope this post was helpful and inspired you to have more plants and you’ll be doing the jungle boogie with your babies. Don’t forget you can always propagate some from other plants like I shared in this post. In the meantime, enjoy having a new found green thumb and growing plants.

Your plant babies are beautiful!
