$2.00 Tuesday

Hey guys… I’m back with another episode of $2.00 and I’m speaking about another item I found in the Thrill of the Hunt post.  That day was a good day and I truly love the items I purchased.  Now.. the item I bought for $2.00 was the little frame.  I’m a sucker for a really good antique frame and this one caught my eye.

The pendulum sketch art was not my taste but I’m sure it was lovingly hung in some gentleman’s office – this picture was circa 1961 and is a signed and number drawing.. it’s 3/5 (meaning #3 out of 5 that were made).. of course I’ll have to do some research before I ditch it.. wouldn’t want to make that mistake.. (it might be the missing Picasso of a set – lol.. yea right.. but wouldn’t that be lovely)

Antique frames are such great pieces – I love their character and old world charm and they’re extremely versatile.

So for Spring, I decided to add this piece of wallpaper sample I’ve had ooohhh about 2+ years and never threw away because I liked it.. (hoarder)

I don’t keep flowers in my office all the time so I added this watercolor for my touch of floral and added a faux orchid.  I switched out the faux fur rug.. (attracts dirt) and got this tribal print rug.  I thought about changing the pillow cushions, but who knows.. maybe later..

Looks like a nice watercolor art right!! heeeheee…. I really like it in my office

and seriously speaking…, I can’t get another item in this space..lol..  after all it’s only 5×3!

Also check out how my instagram buddy @dwdesign_interiordecor used her $2.00 frame to create swanky art for her bathroom.  She simply used a poster board and black paint and free-stroked a design..  – pretty cool right!!

Totally loving the rich color of her bathroom.

I hope these simple ideas help spark your imagination to create wall decor that won’t break the bank.  As always – happy hunting while you thrift your house into a home!!

CIAO!!!!
