Hey everyone! Now that I’m narrowing down my projects room by room, I decided to take a step back and talk about how “thrifting my house” into a home saved me thousands of dollars. A couple years ago, I decided I wanted to switch the tone of my home to create a more afro-boho chic antique style. I wanted to keep my antique pieces but give them a more modernized look that appeased my style. So I’m going to go room-by-room (in separate blog posts) to show you I saved thousands of $$$ by taking my time, finding pieces and curating a new look for my home. So what I decided to do was shop the internet for similar furniture items I bought from thrift stores, estate sales and flea markets. The cost difference will amaze you.

What you have achieved through thrifting is truly remarkable. You have saved tons of money any way you look at it – going out and buying all new at the better chain stores is expensive, but you have acquired authentic, high quality, vintage and antique pieces for a song. Your style is one of a kind! Btw, that teak chair is wonderful.
