Being Bold

Hey everyone, I know it’s been a minute since I’ve popped in your email but your girl has been a tad bit busy and I’m behind posting on my blog.  I hope you all are doing well and had a wonderful Summer.  Time is really going fast and it’s hard to believe it’s coming to an end, although going by the temperature gauge, Summer is still in effect here in the south…lol..  But just to recap what I’ve been up to, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to be featured in BOLD magazine and speak about this real estate investment properties my family and I have been engaging in.  You may not know but this last house has been a nightmare and finally, it’s almost over.  I’m actually going to write about this one in a later post.  But, nonetheless, if you want to read the featured story on BOLD, click here.

In addiction to that feature, I had an exciting moment to participate in the “How We Live” YouTube series by Design Reflektion.  Speaking about my design style and my approach to decor and living the lifestyle of the thrift and famous is something I gladly love to speak about.  To watch the video please click here.

As for the home front, nothing much has been going on.  I haven’t been doing much thrift shopping for décor items,  because my main focus was this rehab house, which is just about complete.  I’ll be so happy, because then I can focus back to making some changes in my home.  I still want to refresh my bedroom and family room very soon, so hopefully I’ll be able to tackle those in the next two months (fingers crossed).   But to kill some time one rainy afternoon, I did decide to add a touch of gold to a couple favorite pieces. and I love them even more.

So that’s pretty much what your girl has been up to.. anything new and exciting going on with you?  If so, I’d love to hear about it, so drop me a comment.  Until next time, happy hunting while you thrift your house into a home.

CIAO!!!!!

  1. Thank you, I have just been searching for information approximately this topic for a while and yours is the best I have found out so far. However, what in regards to the bottom line? Are you certain concerning the supply?

  2. It’s very fun to read your blog and now watch your videos. Looking forward to the rehab saga, which I hope is tribulation to triumph! My little project has been to chalk paint a thrifted footstool. It turned out very well, but now I’m puzzling over exactly how to re-upholster it. As you said in the interview, a professional may be needed if your diy skills aren’t there yet. Good luck with all your projects Jamala!

    • Hey Ruth! Thank you for all your wonderful support. I hope all is well with you.. and your projects go well. Don’t let that reupholster job drive you nuts – toss it to the pros to save the stress.. This rehab project is really trying my patience but so far it’s on track to near finish – thank God. Take care my friend.
