Could you believe the holidays are among us.. geeez… this year has really flown by (I guess the old saying is true – time flies when you’re having fun). It seems like yesterday when we started our seasonal Progressive Dinner Blog hop and here it is, coming to an end. One thing I have to say, is this was definitely exciting and I thank you so much for joining us. We hope this mini series inspired you to get out the invitations, host a few friends to begin entertaining the fun and easy way. If you’ve missed the other series, no worries, here’s Spring, Summer, and Fall. You can even archive them for reference to begin hosting your own seasonal parties in 2019. Well, I’m not going to keep you here long because I know you’ve got plenty to do, so grab your prettiest champagne flutes and let’s get this party started – shall we. For the Winter Mingle Jingle, I get to host cocktails for everyone – (I have to laugh at myself, because I’m sooooo far from what you call a drinker) In fact one glass of a “sippy-sippy” does me in (which is why I chose to make a light spritzer).
If you recall, I’ve talked about having a new liking for Prosecco and used it for my New Year’s Day Brunch punch (which was a big hit). I’ve decided to create a Holiday Spritzer with 3 simple ingredients: Pomegranate Juice, Mango Nectar and Prosecco – also you’ll need (for garnish) lemon slice, sugar, and a pomegranate.
Grab your champagne flutes and let’s mix. Using a slice of lemon (or lime) rub the rim of the glass and dip in sugar to coat the rim.
Pour 1/2 cup of mango nectar, 1/2 cup of pomegranate juice and fill the rest with Prosecco (these measurements may vary according to your taste buds). Garnish with pomegranate seeds and sip away. It can’t get any easier.
The sugared rim not only pleases the eye for this tempting drink, but it also adds to the sweet flavor.
Doesn’t that look festive and makes you feel mingly and jingly.. (heeeheeeheee)
They’re so easy to make that you can keep them coming until the appetizers are served.
Ok.. just one more drink and you’ll be ready for your appetizers.
So head over to Marsha’s because she’s ready to greet you with her warm and beautiful smile along with some delicious appetizers. While you’re munching on those ‘tizers, notice the gorgeous table setting Nicole designed (it’s absolutely fabulous). She definitely set the tone for Tamyra to serve her delicious entree. Don’t get too full, because you have to leave a little room for Shelly’s dessert. Before you leave on your merry way, don’t forget to pick up your wonderful hostess gift created by Amy. I hope you enjoyed learning how to mix a quick cocktail while chatting and sipping with me and even though I enjoyed your company, you can’t stay here because the fun is just getting started!!! Just in case you missed any of the hops, no worries, I’ve provided the links below to get you back on track. Thank you again for joining me and I wish you all Peace, Love and Plenty of Joy!! Tah-tah!
