Hey everyone! – thank you so much on the compliments on the art deco cabinet. I’m thrilled you all loved it. Choosing the wallpaper was such a dilemma but I was glad it worked out and the considering how much love you all have shown for it.. I’m glad I chose it. As I mentioned before, I was going to begin featuring more home tours and I’m happy to introduce you to the beautiful Kelly Bach, a boho decor enthusiast and vintage dealer who is inspired by vintage bohemian patterns and decor. I was attracted to Kelly’s vibrant style and keen flare to blend colors and decor to create a refreshing Floridian flare
VLV: Tell me a little bit about yourself and style.
KB: I am a textile designer from New Smyrna Beach, Florida. I love to incorporate lots of color and texture into my home!
VLV: Do you thrift your decor – if so what’s your favorite store and best thrift find(s)
KB: Most of my furniture is thrifted with the exception of a few modern pieces. I find mixing old with the new adds a nice touch and helps keep my home from looking too dated. My favorite thrift find is my vintage rattan sunburst screen, I found it on Facebook marketplace. I also like to shop at goodwill and habitat for humanity.
VLV: What is your inspiration behind your decor style
KB: I am inspired by retro prints from the 60s & 70s and love eclectic design. I hope to bring a laid back feel to my home. shaggy carpet and furniture that is both comfortable and cute is my jam!
VLV: Do you have a favorite designer
KB: I have so many favorites I could never pick one! I will say one of the first designers I followed on Instagram was Justina Blakeney and she still inspires me today.
VLV: What do you like to do on your down time
KB: In my down time I am sewing and doing pop-up events with my small business @retrobabeco, I sell handmade pillows, tea towels and other fun accessories with my designs
I hope you enjoyed another tour and I’ll be back with another. In the meantime, happy hunting while you thrift your house into a home!
