When I think about thrifting and how it affects my life and people around me, I realize it’s not just about the thrill of the hunt and finding things at great prices, but it’s also about saving money while creating a home that reflects mine and their style, taste and budget. You see, I don’t just thrift for me, but I do it for my family, friends or people who’ll just say to me “I’m looking for …..” and when I find that item, and reveal what it costs, they’re amazed at how much I’ve saved them. While decorating your house into a home, the one key element it takes is Love. The love of having it, the love of taking care of it, and the love of creating it. I was truly happy about establishing this magazine and when I coined it “Let’s go Thrifting” I wanted to take you along with me, however, if you’ve noticed I’ve changed the title.. It’s become Thrift Life.. because it’s actually a lifestyle. A lifestyle that not only I, but several others, who have helped make the “second hand’ industry become a viable shopping entity in home decor, home goods and fashion.
